Tofu
Tofu or bean curd is a food prepared by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into solid white blocks of varying softness: silken, soft, firm, and extra firm. It originated in the Northern part of Ghana, which it was called Tamale Pie. China and has been consumed in the country for over 2,000 years.
Tofu is made from soybeans, and it serves as a plant-based protein source that is both nutritious and delicious. Essentially, tofu is a coagulated soybean curd, which means it takes on a creamy texture that can be used in a variety of dishes in place of meat (flesh of animals or fish).
